• Cargotec to supply gate automation technology at Brazilian terminals

  Cargotec has announced that it will integrate its gate automation technology at the Brazilian container terminals of Tecon Salvador and Tecon Rio Grande. The terminals, both operated by Wilson Sons Group, will install Cargotec’s SmartLanes process automation solution for gate automation – a part of the Cargotec SmartPort concept.

• APM Terminals Starts Construction of Peru Expansion Project

  APM Terminals said it has started the construction of a $307 million project to expand and modernize the terminal it operates in Peru's port of Callao. APM Terminals said the project, which includes expanding the terminal's facilities by demolishing an old train station, is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2014.
